Had the time take in this movie with some family last week and was quite surprised by it. Not only was I mistaken with my perception of "another remake", but was totally blown away by Hailee Steinfeld. Her portrayal of Mattie Ross was truly outstanding!

 True Grit is well worth the time to see, just to watch her 'hold her own' in a mans world. No, not just another remake ... this work stands on it's own. Good Stuff !
