What was the point?
There seems to be a lot of controversy over the 'Open Carry', church hosted event, last saturday at the New Bethel Church in Louisville, KY. Since everyone except the security detail was unarmed (presumably for the safety of the attendees, but more likely to enforce empty chambers) i fail to see the point ...
Did it do the Open Carry movement any harm? Possibly
Did it promote CCW rights in what have historically beenunarmed victim gun-free zones? Doubtful
Even theborderline biased Christian Science Monitor's Jimmy Orr, couldn't keep the the snark out of his “Saturday Night Special” editorial.
Since only the supposedly qualified were armed, this publicity stunt did nothing to promote 'responsible' gun ownership.
A Concealed Carry event would fix that ...
